To get started with this recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can cook beginner's sangria using 6 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Beginner's Sangria:
  1. Make ready 2 c Red Wine, low tannin preferred
  2. Take 2 c (or to taste) sweetened Orange Juice
  3. Get Few scoops of canned tropical fruits in syrup
  4. Get 4 Tbsp (or to taste) of syrup from the can
  5. Get Few slices of oranges (optional)
  6. Make ready Few slices of apples (optional)
Instructions to make Beginner's Sangria:
  1. The original Sangria calls for more cups of Red Wine than OJ. It also involves adding Brandy… Thus my reason for calling this a Beginner's Sangria LOL
  2. On Red Wine: less tannic is preferred for Sangrias but I used a Cab Sauv for NY's and it was okay with equal portions. But for beginner drinkers I would recommend a Pinot, Grenache, etc.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a carafe.
  4. Important : Chill and leave in the fridge overnight. You'll notice the difference.
