Traditionally it is made by making tiny balls (boondi) from gram flour batter, that is first deep fried then simmered in sugar syrup until it plumps up and finally shaped into round balls called ladoos. Motichoor Ladoo is a popular Indian sweet, made with besan (gram flour). It's one of my favorite sweets which I make for special occasions and is mouthwatering good! I have mentioned this often that as a kid I was a very non-picky eater (and I am still the same!).

Steps to make Motichoor ladoos:
  1. First mix gramflour+1 cup water+1 tsp baking powder.make a smooth thick mixture.add 1 drop food color
  2. Otherside add sugar and half cup water with crushed cardamom.let it boil at medium flame.add 1 drop food color in the end and lemon juice to not crystallize it
  3. Make oil hot and start pouring some portions of gramflour mixture from strainer as shown
  4. Now keep aside big pieces.and when syrup looks thick then just turn off syrup side.add lemon juice and food color.then immediately add fried boondi.donot let it cool
  5. Let it soak syrup for 7 to 8 minutes.now add 1 tbsp warm milk and ghee.start greasing your palms and gently take little portion.just press in the centre of palm then squeeze gently very softly.it will start coming in shape by itself.add nuts before making laddo.if you want.
  6. Enjoy so yumm ladoos quickly at home.stay safe stay healthy and happy
