The ingredients needed to make Clam Chowder:
  1. Make ready 4 slice bacon
  2. Prepare 1/2 onion diced small
  3. Make ready 3 large potatoes, cubed
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp flour
  5. Take 1 salt & pepper to taste
  6. Get 3 can chopped clams
  7. Make ready 3 bottles of clam juice
  8. Prepare 1 pints cream
  9. Take 1 a few sprigs of chive
Steps to make Clam Chowder:
  1. Cook bacon until crisp, set aside
  2. Add onions & potatoes to the bacon grease, cook for 5 minutes
  3. Add flour & stir, cook a couple more minutes & season with salt & pepper
  4. Add ONLY the liquid from the clams & the bottled clam juice
  5. Cook about 20 minutes until potatoes are fork tender
  6. Remove from heat add reserved clams & cream, stir
  7. Re season with salt & pepper, if needed
  8. Crumble bacon & add back into chowder & top with chopped chives
