The ingredients needed to make Saag Paneer:
  1. Take Paneer
  2. Get 12 oz paneer
  3. Take 1 tsp. turmeric
  4. Get 1/2 tsp cayenne
  5. Take 1 tsp salt
  6. Get 3 TBS vegetable oil
  7. Get Saag
  8. Take 1 (16 oz) frozen chopped spinach. Thawed and drained
  9. Take 1 bunch fenugreek leaves
  10. Make ready 1 medium onion finely chopped
  11. Take 1 TBS ginger
  12. Get 2 diced tomatoes
  13. Get 4 cloves garlic
  14. Get 1 serrano pepper
  15. Prepare 2 tsp garam masala
  16. Make ready 2 taps coriander
  17. Take 1 tsp cumin
  18. Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric
  19. Take 1/2 cayenne
  20. Take 1/2 cup greek yogurt or 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions to make Saag Paneer:
  1. Chop paneer into 1/4 " cubes. Whisk together vegetable oil, turmeric, cayenne and salt and toss paneer in spices.
  2. Saute paneer until toasted on both sides. Set aside.
  3. Add onions and caramalize until toffee colored golden brown
  4. Add garlic and ginger and heat additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes, spinach, fenugreek and remaining spices and heat until soft.
  6. Set aside and cool
  7. Spoon mixture into blender and blend until smooth.
  8. Combine paneer into saag base and heat. Slowly stir in yogurt
  9. Serve with rice and naan
