The ingredients needed to make Gulqand:
  1. Prepare 2 cups fresh Rose Petals
  2. Take 2 cup granulated sugar
  3. Take 1 tesp cardamom powder
  4. Prepare 2-3 drops rose water
Steps to make Gulqand:
  1. Gently wash the petals with water and let them dry on a dry cloth. chop the petals into pieces.
  2. Add sugar in the petals, cardamom powder and Rose water. - Spread a layer of rose petals in a dry glass bottle with a lid.
  3. Then again spread a layer of petals over the sugar layer. - Repeat till all the petals are done.
  4. Now close the bottle or jar with lid and keep in sunlight for 7-8 days.
  5. Keep stirring after every other day (eik din chord Kar agly din) with clean wooden spoon.
  6. Gulqand is ready about 7 to 8 days then keep in fridge for upto a month. (use clean spoon when use).
